A Christmas Carol
I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.
- Oscar Wilde
The Modern School, ECNCR believes in holistic development of its students. Hence, students are proffered with opportunities to develop skills that can be applied in all areas of learning. Drama is one such medium which not only develops literary skills but also enhances creativity, enquiry, communication, empathy, self-confidence and cooperation. Keeping this in mind, students of classes P3 – P5 showcased a drama based on Charles Dickens’ famous novel ‘A Chirstmas Carol’. It is a wonderful story about change. It is about how a penny pinching misanthrope, Ebenezer Scrooge is redeemed & transformed. The play is an eye opening exploration that leads to happiness and enlightenment. The precision with which students performed spoke volumes of the pains & hard work of students and teachers. The students left the audience spell bound with their enthralling performance. The act was applauded by everybody present and will always remain etched in the memory of one & all present there.
The school plans to host many such plays in near future which are going to phenomenally contribute to the development of the students.
