The school adheres to the INTEGRATED LEARNING METHODOLOGY but at the same time adapts it to the needs of students, keeping in mind the diversity of individual talent and aptitude.
Text book lessons are supplemented by practice work sheets, project work, audio-visual aids, smart boards and hands-on experience through excursions and national trips. Through monthly assignments that are given to students, pre-designed syllabus and work targets for all subjects are stated. The assignment system ensures that parents and students are completely in sync with the academic plan designed for them. The aim is to strengthen the innate capabilities of students so that they feel confident and enjoy their days at school.
Multimedia, computer aided lessons are used by teachers for all subjects. The integration of animations along with demonstrations makes effective teaching and learning.
We believe that the ability and capacity of every child must be respected and he must be provided with opportunities to develop his strengths. The focus is on enhancing life skills, functional literacy, numeracy and social skills, among all children, including those with exceptionalities- giftedness as well as learning disabilities.
Early Years is dedicated in providing a challenging learning environment. The school is a center of inquiry, creativity and joyful learning, where students from different environment come together to learn, to dream and to grow. We prepares students for the next stage and ensures that the transition to the primary school years is smooth.
A blend of Montessori and Play way is used in Nursery and KG and the presence of two teachers in each class room of the pre-primary classes ensures joyful, hands-on and effective learning.
Subjects taught in classes P1 to P3 are English, Hindi, Mathematics and Environmental Science. We prepare students for the next stage and ensure that the transition to the middle school years is smooth.
Students of classes P4 and P5 study English, Hindi, Mathematics, EVS1(Science ) and EV2 ( Social Studies).
Curriculum based on the guidelines given by the NCERT and the Directorate of Education, Delhi is followed in Grades
S1 – S4. The scheme of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), as designed and laid out by CBSE, is also followed in the Middle School.
English, Hindi, Sanskrit / French / German , Mathematics, Science ( Physics, Biology, Chemistry), Social Science (History, Civics, Geography).
Assessment of the Early Years will be done on the basis of observation of their work of habits and subject skills.
Monthly profiles will be discussed at the end of each term. Students will be graded on a continuous scale highlighting their strengths. No formal examination system is followed for these classes.
The school follows a system of comprehensive and continuous assessment through the year. The Academic session is divided into two terms :
Term 1 : April to September
Term2 : October to March
Grade P1 to P5 will have 4 Unit Tests in a year. No formal examination system is followed for these classes.
Students will have Unit Tests on Mondays and internal assessments based on Individual and group activity will be conducted throughout the year. Marks of the activities will be added in the relevant unit.
To ensure life long skills in note book work such as neatness, completion and timely submission of work along with subject skills, internal assessment has been introduced. The student’s performance will be evaluated on a continuous basis rather than only through exams. The subject skill grade along with the work habit grade will count towards the overall grade awarded to the student.
Monday Test marks will be considered for assessment at the end of the year. This is in keeping with the school policy, which stresses on continuous and comprehensive assessment during the academic year. There will be Monday test cycles for all classes throughout the year.
The qualifying marks in each subject are 33% for all classes.
All the classes from class I onwards will have assessments / examination in the academic year. The dates of the exams are given in the syllabus booklet. Students will be informed in case there is any change owing to unforeseen circumstances.
