Report- Annual Day 2016-17
The sparkling lights, the luminous and magnificent stage, the reverberating music and the eminent audience was what set the tempo for the third Annual Day of The Modern School, ECNCR on December 4, 2016.
The spectacular show commenced with the inauguration of the Art Exhibition that showcased with the outstanding work of the students.
The glorious evening witnessed the exuberant solo performances of the talented modernites followed by the ‘Instrumental Extravaganza’ – a musical presentation wherein the budding musicians enthralled the audience with their musical symphony.
The Chief Guest of the evening, Padma Bhushan , Sushree Uma Sharma and the Guest of Honour, Mr. Ashok Pratap Singh, President, Board of Trustees, Modern School and other distinguished guests ,who graced the occasion, were accorded a floral welcome. The event commenced with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed guests.
The Principal, Ms Abha Sadana welcomed the august gathering and presented the school report accentuating the progress of the school throughout the year. The Chief Guest felicitated the young achievers of the school who won accolades in various Scholastic and Co-scholastic activities and competitions.
The cultural programme, ‘The Ballet -Samrat Akbar’ was an astounding visual treat to the eyes showcasing the life and works of the great Mughal Emperor with synchronized and mesmerizing dance movements. It was like poetry in action.
The Chief Guest, Padma Bhushan, Sushree Uma Sharma applauded the efforts of the students and congratulated the school for exhibiting a grand show.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Ashok Pratap Singh, President, Board of Trustees, Modern School addressed the audience and outlined the vision of the school that aims at nurturing the innate creative abilities of students.
The vote of thanks was presented by the Headmistress, Ms Rimpy Verma.
The audience comprising of the parents and guests was captivated with the riveting performances of the students. The evening set yet another landmark in the glorious history of The Modern School.
