“Let’s not take our Independence for granted…

Let’s do our bit to make India a better place…

Legacy to live for and legacy to die for…”

Mr.K.K Agrawal, Trustee and Member of Managing Committee was the honorable chief guest for the Independence Day celebration at Modern Early Years, Deepali on Saturday, 11th August.

Sir hoisted the National Flag after which the choir sang the National Anthem and a beautiful patriotic song.

The Chief Guest along with all the dignitaries also planted saplings to mark the occasion as a symbol of growth and prosperity.

School principal Ms. Abha Sadana was also present on the occasion to encourage the little ones.

The ballet “Journey to Freedom” by K.G. students depicting Gandhiji, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Sarojini Naidu and numerous freedom fighters reminded us about the various sacrifices made by so many people to attain freedom from the British. The performance was well accepted by all the attending parents.

A show-n-tell activity was also organised for the Nursery students entitled “Respected Indian Personalities” on 14th August. Children came dressed up as Rani Laxmi Bai, APJ Abdul Kalam, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and many more. Children recited lines and shared about the personality.
