Literacy Day

‘Empowering Women is Key to Building a Future We Want’

The Modern School, ECNCR, in its endeavour to support community development and promote social awareness, celebrated Literacy Day on September 8, 2017. The students of Nursery & KG indulged in ‘DESIGN A BOOK COVER’ and ‘WAVE PRINTING IN A BOOK’ activities during the celebrations. The thought provoking talk delivered by the students of class Nursery, charmed and enlightened the audience. The tiny tots took a pledge to spread the message ‘Educate Everyone’ at home as well. The following day i.e. September 9, 2017 was marked by a ‘Nukkad Natak’ presentation – a street play performed by the students of KG, S1 & S2 at Unity One Mall, Rohini. The students of KG dealt with the issue of lower literacy rate and class S1 and S2 highlighted the importance of women empowerment. The collaborative efforts and hard work of the teachers and students were evident, as the students performed brilliantly leaving an indelible mark on the minds of the spectators. The dire need of the hour, to join hands together and ensure ‘Literacy’ and ‘Women Empowerment’ in India was realised. It was a visual bliss to witness the students perform in the mall confidently.
