PLAY – The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare

‘The most exciting acting tends to happen in roles you never thought you could play’

-         JOHN LITHGOW

Studying literature in the classroom and enacting the same on stage are two different scenarios, as the opportunity to stage or act in a play takes the lessons learnt in the class a step further.

Students of Classes P5 and S1 showcased the drama ‘The Comedy of Errors’ by William Shakespeare on April 27, 2017 to commemorate the great playwright’s birthday.

The play tells the story of two sets of identical twins, each with the same names. After being separated at birth, the play shows what happens when they are unexpectedly reunited in Ephesus, thus, creating confusion due to mistaken identities.

The play provided our students with a wonderful forum to demonstrate their talent as performers and to have great fun while doing it. The students emoted confidently and gave a riveting performance.

The audience applauded the commendable efforts of the students.
