P5-Virtual Excursion-Famous Festivals of Asia
Virtual excursions have now become a part and parcel of students’ learning world as they experience the unknown world around them in the wake of the pandemic. Students of Class P5 took a significant virtual tour to unveil the most ‘Famous Festivals of Asia’ on September 24, 2021, as they celebrated the World Tourism Day.
Celebrating festivals not only brings two different cultures together but help in promoting harmony among countries. The tour commenced with the thrilling and exciting experience of witnessing different festivals of China, Japan and Thailand. Chinese New Year, Yi Peng (Lantern Festival), Phi Ta Khon (Ghost Festival) Songkran Festival in Thailand; Tenjin Matsuri, The Bean-Throwing Festival, Sapporo Snow Festival, Aomori Nebuta Matsuri, Nihon-Matsu Chochin Festival, Harbin Ice and Snow Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Zhengzhou International Shaolin Martial Arts Festival and many more were seen and enjoyed by one and all.
A welcoming festive atmosphere was experienced while exploring t the places. They were acquainted with the history behind the celebration of the festivals. The bouquet of festivities was an exemplary presentation of vibe, history and culture.
