The students of class P2 attended a virtual excursion during an online zoom session on December 31, 2020. They visited some famous places of worship in India. The students were also taught about the importance of brotherhood humanity and respect and tolerance for all religions.
In the first lap, the students visited some temples and gurudwaras. Paonta Sahib, Bangla Sahib, and Manikaran gurudwaras were visited by them virtually, wherein the students learned about ‘Langar and ‘Parsad’ that people got to eat as a blessing in gurudwaras.
The students also visited some famous temples like Kedarnath, Badrinath, Siddhi Vinayak, Tirupati Balaji, Konark Temple, etc.
They were taught to remove their shoes, wash their hands and then cover their heads while visiting the above mentioned holy places. The significance of the religious places was explained and the young minds observed as well as understood the sanctity of the same.
The virtual excursion was a great learning experience for the students.
