Learning Expressions

During a theatre activity in Nursery and Kindergarten classes, children were introduced to various emotions through observational learning. As they sat and observed, they became familiar with expressions of happiness, sadness, surprise, and anger. Happy moments were characterized by bright smiles and animated gestures, while sadness was depicted through solemn facial expressions and subdued body language. Surprised reactions were marked by widened eyes and open mouths, conveying astonishment at unexpected occurrences. Similarly, expressions of anger were observed through furrowed brows and tense facial muscles, illustrating feelings of frustration or displeasure. Through this passive participation, children gained valuable exposure to a range of emotions, laying the foundation for future expressive endeavors in their theatrical journey.
