Children may feel anxious about being away from their homes and parents for long hours every day. We help in this adaptation with a secure and homely environment that would make school seem fun! We strive to create a positive attitude towards learning by using play-based techniques and starting with fundamental tasks. At the seedling level, children will learn through clay modelling, colours and art, story books, animated videos and dance and music. We let them take their time to adjust and help them settle into the school environment becoming familiar with their peers and teachers.
As children grow a little older, we introduce more systematic and activity-based learning. The curriculum is inspired by the best practices of Modern, Reggio Emilia, Play way and Maria Montessori. We include activities that help in developing their gross and fine motor skills as well as emotional and social growth. We inculcate habits that put them on a path of self-sufficiency and confidence. Indoor and outdoor games, developing vocabulary with the right pronunciations, identifying colours and sounds, counting numbers etc, are all taught through creative play. At this stage, we start developing in them an interest to learn and know more.
This is the age of progression where kids show steady physical, social and emotional development. The Bloomers programme is thus focused more on enhancing these aspects to prepare your child for formal education. We have activities and lessons that concentrate on memory mapping, strengthening focus, learning discipline and self-reliance. We have games that stimulate their inquisitiveness, make them confident to ask questions, express themselves and enjoy the process of overall learning. By this stage, your child will fall in love with gaining knowledge. At every stage of development, Modern Early Years’ comprehensive and dynamic curriculum explores the optimum capacity of your child’s learning ability.
