Learning to play a Dafli
In the KG class, students engaged in a delightful activity of playing Dafli and singing the Sargam. Dafli, a small hand-held percussion instrument, added rhythm and liveliness to the musical experience. The students explored various notes of the musical scale through the Sargam, a melodic framework in Indian classical music. With guidance from their teacher, they tapped into their creativity, learning to produce harmonious sounds while developing a sense of rhythm and melody. Through this interactive musical session, the students not only had fun but also cultivated their auditory skills and appreciation for music at an early age.
