Sense of Touch Texture Activity
The Imagination is of so delicate a Texture that even words wound it."
William Hazlitt
A child when born, tries to understand each and every thing by touching it. So the sense of touch is very important in a man's life.
Our little Modernites did a fun activity on Sensory play. They made a cutout of their handprint and took different objects like beads, cotton, uncooked pasta, cello tape etc. and pasted them on each finger cutout. They were asked to close their eyes and touch each object using their sense of touch and tell how they feel...like soft, smooth, hard, rough or bumpy. Then they were asked to write it on each finger cutout.
These kinds of activities give a child the opportunity to experience and explore the surroundings. It was a very interactive session as it's well said that learning by doing is the best way of learning.
Let's have a look, how much the students enjoyed the activity.
