A special virtual assembly was conducted by the students of Shiwalik House on 'Baisakhi' for classes P1- S7 on April 16, 2021.

India being a land of many cultures, which blend into each other seamlessly; each region has its own way of celebrating 'New Year'. In Punjab this day is celebrated as Baisakhi, which marks the beginning of the harvest season.

The assembly commenced with seeking the blessings of the Almighty. It aimed at creating awareness about the importance of celebrating the festival. A PPT highlighting the importance of the harvest festival across the country and the various ways in which it is celebrated in different states was shown to the students. There were special performances by Amaira Khatkar (P2 B), Bhavit Goyal (P2 A), Gurmeher Dhall (P2 C), Laisha Ahuja (P5A) Sehaj Kaur (P5D) Adah Narang (S3 A) and Jasmine Kaur (S3 A), showcasing the joy and merriment of the people on the day. They left everyone enthralled.

Students ate sweets to celebrate and wished for the good health and prosperity of everyone.
