The Modern School ECNCR organised a visit for the Interact Club members of the school to Kamla Bakshi Old Age Home in Rohini, New Delhi on October 26, 2017. The interactors were accompanied by the pre-primary students of Modern Early Years, Deepali, who were equally enthusiastic for the visit. The visit aimed at donating funds to the Old Age Home, raised during the Diwali Mela organised by the school on October 14, 2017.

The students of the pre-primary session indulged in preparing diyas, candles, decorative articles etc. as articles to be sold during the Diwali Mela to raise funds for contributing to the organisation. In their continual strive to contribute for social causes and community development, the interact club members motivated everyone present on the day to buy and contribute wholeheartedly. The funds were well received and humbly presented to Kamla Bakshi Old Age Home. The visit gave a deep insight to the students into some of the bitter and disillusioned realities of life, which turned out to be an eye-opener for all. Students averred on their way back to be always with their parents through thick and thin. They distributed fruits and sweets among the inmates and spent quality time with them. Tiny tots interacted and sang songs with the aged. It was a truly soul satisfying experience that left everyone with memories and important life skills and lessons learnt for lifetime.
