Annual Day-Boond

The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated its Annual Day with glitz and glory on December 17, 2022 in the school premises. Revered Chief Guest of the day, Dr. Suman Manjri, retired IPS Officer, Ex Inspector General of  Police ,Guest of Honour,  Ms. Kavita Dwivedi, renowned Odissi dancer, Mr. Ashok Pratap Singh,  Mentor, Advisor & Former President Board of Trustees, Modern School , Ms. Anuradha Singh, President, Board of Trustees, Modern School, distinguished trustees , Principals of various Modern Schools and eminent Rotarians presided over the spectacular extravaganza.

 

The inauguration of Annual Day was marked by the grandeur of the  exhibition that displayed the exceptional and creative work of the students of the school.

 

The event unfolded with the lighting of the lamp and chanting of ‘Saraswati Vandana’,  followed by the warm welcome extended by the Principal, Ms. Abha Sadana,  who presented the Annual School Report , highlighting the achievements of the students along with the Junior Head Boy, Vismay Anup and the Senior Head Girl, Aadrita Nandi .


The cultural programme ‘Boond’, a poignant reminder to conserve water by not exploiting nature, inspired the spell bound spectators.  The audience  witnessed the magnificent dance drama that encompassed the mesmerising dynamic performances of  the budding artists.

 

It also highlighted that water is the elixir of life: It's  a boon , a treasure endowed upon the living from the brink of heaven. 


The show made the audience contemplate that water is at the core of sustainable development, be it saving soil, trees or waste management.  The modernites urged the audience to  come together and pledge to save water. The exemplary achievements of the students in Scholastics and Co- scholastics areas were also acknowledged in the Prize Distribution Ceremony during the event. 


Ms. Anuradha Singh, President, Board of Trustees, Modern School, Barakhamba Road unveiled the school magazine ‘Prayas’. 


The Chief Guest  applauded the efforts of the students through out the year  in her address and congratulated them for not only putting up a great show but also indulging in making the society aware of its responsibilities towards conserving nature. She also acknowledged the efforts of the school in nurturing its students in the rightful manner. On behalf of the school, Mr.  Ashok Pratap SIngh appreciated the pearls of wisdom spread by the Chief Guest in her speech and urged everyone to be consistent learners in life.
 
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Headmistress, Ms. Rimpy Verma and the function concluded with the grand and awe- inspiring finale of the event.
