Assembly on Mannerism and Etiquette

“Knowledge will give you power, but character will give you respect.”

Keeping this noble thought in mind, a special assembly was conducted on September 18, 2020 by the Vindhyanchal House students of the Primary wing of The Modern School, ECNCR on the theme ‘Mannerism and Etiquette’.

The assembly commenced with an informative PowerPoint Presentation by the respective class teachers where the students were apprised of all the basic good manners and etiquettes that one should follow. It was then followed by a melodious rendition of the morning prayer ‘Tumhi ho mata..tumhi pita ho…’ sung by Ms. Pranamika Gowasmi. Thereafter, Aanya Goswami of class P5B, Trimanveer Singh P2 A and Khushaan Seth of class P1 C presented their views on Mannerism and Etiquette wherein they highlighted that manners form an integral part of one’s life and nobody is considered to be civilised until and unless one doesn’t follow the basic manners and etiquettes.

To inform about the latest happenings around the world, the News was presented by Vihaan Charnalia of class P5C and Harteij Dhillon P1 B and Weather Forecast by Riyanshi Bansal of class P2 C. The Thought for the Day was presented by Hiryana Vadhwa of class P5A and Aarav Rana of class P1 C wherein they elaborated upon the importance of having good manners, being polite and respectful to others. They also emphasized that we should treat others the way we want to be treated and also set an example for others. There is no end to the talent when it comes to the blue modernites. Anana Jain of class P4B, Siddhi Srivastava of class P5A, Reyansh Gandhi of class P4B. Kayra of class P3C, Samira Singhal of class P5 B and Daksh Virmani of class P2 C showcased different table manners and etiquette that should be followed by an individual in school or at home as our manners mirror our personality. At the end, beautiful short poems on the theme were recited by Adyasha Gogia of class P2 A and Daksh Chopra of class P1 A.
