Teacher's Day is a day that is celebrated to appreciate and honour teachers for their tireless and praiseworthy contribution in building an aware and educated society. 

A special assembly on 'Teachers' Day and International Literacy Day was organised by Shiwalik House students of classes Nur-P5 on September 3& 4, 2021 through a virtual platform.

The tiny tots of Nur-KG made beautiful cards for their parents and grandparents , who are shouldering the responsibility of teaching them at home in the present times. On the other hand the students of classes P1 - P5 gave a heartwarming cultural presentation for their gurus . They also exhibited mesmerising artwork in the form of cards and posters, especially made for their dear teachers . A thought-provoking skit was presented by the students of classes P4 and P5, to express their gratitude to their teachers who play a major role in influencing and moulding their life in an impressionable manner.

Celebration of International Literacy Day aims at raising awareness about literacy and its importance.  It is also a day to acknowledge Literacy as a matter of right and dignity for all. A PowerPoint Presentation with the theme 'Each One Teach One' focussed on the fact that one must help people to become literate.

The assembly concluded with outlining the relevance of 100 percent literacy and celebrating the efforts of all the noble teachers across the world
