Baisakhi (Nur-P2)
The students of classes Nursery- P2 celebrated Baisakhi with great enthusiasm and fervour on April 13, 2021. The celebration of this festival marked the beginning of the joyous festivities at school. Baisakhi is the most significant harvest festival of North India particularly in Punjab and Haryana.It was on Baisakhi in the year 1699, that Guru Gobind Singh founded Khalsa Panth and gave a unique identity to Sikhs.
A special assembly was conducted, wherein the importance of the festival was elucidated through a Power Point Presentation. The historical and cultural relevance of celebrating Bsisakhi was outlined . All the students were found beautifully attired in ethnic wear for the occasion. They danced to the tunes of Baisakhi music i.e Bhangra and Folk songs. The celebrations culminated with a baisakhi craft and all the students relished eating sweets.
