The Modern School, ECNCR organized a career counseling session on November 23, 2019 for the students of classes S4 to S7 who had opted for Psychometric assessment to make informed decisions about their career by ‘The Mindscan Education’ company.

Different time slots were allotted to all the parents since this was mainly a detailed and personalized session. The resource person, Mr. Mandeep Singh who is a renowned career counselor, commenced the session by explaining the personality traits and career interest and the focus of the test report. Students of classes S4 and S5 were further guided to choose the stream based on their assessment report regarding their interest, aptitude and personality. The report helped them to identify their subject choices and combinations for different courses for future prospects. The basic factors in choosing one’s career were reinforced.

It was emphasized that the selection of the right university for higher education was equally important. An ideal job is a combination of what they love, their potential and what pays well was also reiterated. The session was conducted very empathetically, understanding the students' dreams and parents’ expectations to come on mutual ground with each other to have a happy and successful life. The session concluded with the idea of parents being partners in the decision-making process. The resource person, as well as the school counselor, made sure that every aspect of the test was understood since the career decision would be purely based on the test parameters.
