The Modern School, ECNCR observed July 15 to July 19, 2019 as the cleanliness week, in order to imbue in students the essential values of environment, preservation and hygienie surroundings. This week enveloped various activities that laid emphasis upon the need for cleanliness.

During their circle time and in the assemblies, the teachers interacted with the students of the pre primary wing and gave them a brief introduction about the concept of cleanliness. The week started with a dental hygiene activity using a denture , followed by a personal hygiene activity with a doll.

The students realized that cleanliness is next to godliness with various other class activities like Show-n-tell on the topic ‘Cleanliness’. On the last day, children did a cleanliness drive, in which they cleaned their classrooms, corridors and playground. They also thanked their class didis and housekeeping didis for helping them to keep their surroundings clean. It eventually dawned on them that clean surroundings and hygienic existence is the perfect way to lead life. Last but not the least, the melodious rhymes on cleanliness echoed in the school, marking the end of the cleanliness week.
