‘Being green and clean is not just an aspiration but an action.'

Today, is the time of virtual learning; so are the celebrations. The students of classes Nur-P2 observed ‘Cleanliness Week’ from July 12-16, 2021 with great gusto and enthusiasm .

The celebrations commenced with making the students learn how to maintain personal hygiene, by using their favourite toys for practical demonstration. They also made a beautiful paper craft of a brush and a denture, through which they learnt how to maintain oral hygiene .

On day 2, they were shown an educational clip on how to keep oneself and one’s environment neat and clean. The students cleaned up their messy rooms and understood the relevance of the saying ‘ Cleanliness is next to Godliness’. They kept their toys at the right place and helped their parents in dusting and mopping as well.

The third day saw the tiny tots of classes Nursery and KG indulging in the Three R's Activity- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, wherein they collected the waste water from the filter and used it to wash utensils, mop the floor and water the plants. The students of classes P1-P2 were also found engrossed in a ‘Best Out of Waste’ craft activity. They utilised their plastic bottles by turning them into useful pen stands which were colourful and creative.

Students were delighted to participate in the activity ‘Keeping the Garden Clean’. They were taught that it is important to keep the surroundings clean and that it is everyone’s duty to love and conserve Mother Earth .
They learned how to take care of plants and be responsible for saving their environment. The students also presented ‘Show and Tell’, expressing their thoughts and views on Cleanliness and its relevance.
They were apprised of the Government initiative ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and its benefits, as well as the importance of keeping themselves and the surroundings clean. The young modernites participated in the celebration with immense passion and zeal.
