The Interactors of The Modern School, ECNCR along with the Interact Advisor, Ms. Anita attended the DILA (District Interact leadership Assembly) UMANG-2019 on October 16, 2019.

Students can become a part of the Interact Club of Rotary after 12 years of age and after becoming Interactors, the students get an opportunity to interact with their International counterparts and nurture leadership qualities in themselves. Students also become District Interactors after some time and serve the community along with Rotarians.

The old DIR (District Interact Representative) passed on the baton of leadership by collaring the new DIR(District Interact Representative)who gave an inspiring acceptance speech, sharing the plans and goals of Rotary Serving Humanity for the year 2019-20.

The new ZIRs (Zonal Interact Representatives) were also presented badges in the assembly. Tanya Khanna of class S6 was conferred upon the badge of ZIR (Zonal Interact Representative).

Interactors from more than 30 schools across Delhi/NCR participated in the Assembly and performed street plays, mimes and group dances on female foeticide, water conservation, say no to plastic, clean India and other social issues. The performances were invigorating and inspiring.

Through DILA, young students are motivated to serve humanity and society and encouraged for ‘Service above Self’, which is the motto of Rotary Interact Clubs.

It was a great learning experience for all the interactors present as the youth of today is to be kindled with the spark to bring a positive change in society to make this world worth living.
