The students of classes Nursery to P2 celebrated Earth Week from April 19,2021 to April 23,2021.

During the Earth Week , an array of creative activities were organized with a view to sensitize the children about the need to conserve natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet more beautiful. The week commenced with a power point presentation on the importance of Earth Day and the importance of saving water.

The students took a pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet.

On Day 1: An inspiring and interesting story telling session on 'Importance of Trees' was conducted on the first day .

Day 2: An engaging Tree Plantation activity was done by the students. It was followed by the recitation of rhymes on Mother Earth and Nature. The students participated in both the activities with great zeal and were excited to give unique names to the trees they planted.

Day 3: Students of classes Nursery and KG did a clay activity in which they made the model of 'Mother Earth. Students of class P1 did a craft activity where they made a paper bag that was symbolic of being eco-friendly and saying no to plastic bags.

Students of class P2 made dustbins and understood the correct usage of dustbins for dry and wet waste . All the students participated in the craft activity and had fun doing it.

Day 4: Students were told the importance of trees and how our natural environment is getting affected . Students were encouraged to plant more and more trees.

Day 5: A Show-n-Tell activity was conducted on the last day.

Nursery-KG spoke on 'My Favourite Tree' and shared their views on trees. Class P1 spoke on 'My Beautiful Planet' wherein the students spoke a few lines on their planet and how much they loved it.

Class P2 spoke on 'Save Earth Save All' wherein the students spoke a few lines related to how they could save their planet and what all should be done to protect it and make it more beautiful. Indeed it was a great celebration of Earth Week which worked as a key to teach the basic life skill of being sensitive towards earth and environment. It made the students realize that even at a young age they could be a part of making the Earth a healthier planet.
