Students of class Nursery and KG of The Modern School, ECNCR visited different ‘ Places Of Worship’ on December 12, 2018. The main purpose of the visit was to acquaint them with different religions and their places of worship. To begin with, the students visited a temple where they were given a briefing about Hindu religion and customs .From a tilak,to lighting a lamp and ringing the bells ,all was a source of learning and fun for the tiny tots.

Thereafter, they visited a gurudwara in which they entered with their heads covered in reverence. Students were introduced to the Sikh religion and customs there. They relished the delectable prashad offered to them.

This was followed by the visit to a church. Christian religion and customs were learnt at the holy place. It was a spiritually enlightening experience for the little ones and the peaceful aura of the divine place left them in awe.

Back at school, the students assimilated what they had learnt and seen on the excursion. Respect for all religions ,traditions and customs across the world was emphasized and imbued.
