The Modern School, ECNCR organised an educational excursion on October 12, 2019, with the aim to impart knowledge and bring awareness among the students regarding the work in the field of disability rehabilitation. The students of class S4 visited Renu Vidya Mandir (Institute of Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation Training & Research). During their visit, students learned about the children with special needs (MR, HI, CP, Autistic, OH, MD) who are getting special educational services, vocational training, therapeutic services (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Psycho-therapy), and other medical services under the guidance of special educators.

The institute aims at making the child independent despite of any disability. Students were explained how the education system for children with special needs has grown widely in the past years and has become a huge part of our lives. Any child can be educated and all the children in our country have a right to education. Hence, the overall experience of the students was very constructive, enlightening and fruitful.
