Japkeerat Singh, Devanshi Dibya and Rudransh Dwivedi of class S6 participated in the inaugural edition of GIS MUN organised by Gateway International School, Sonipat, in partnership with The DAIS ( a collective vision of a closely-knit team to work with the youth, communities & institutions for improving their lives and enabling them to do the same for others) on January 22 and 23, 2021.

The following committees and agendas were a part of the GIS MUN:
1. United Nations General Assembly: Good Health and Well- Being
2. United Nations Security Council: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
3. United Nations Economic and Social Council: Education, Equality and Economic Growth

4. G-20 Youth Summit: Role of Youth, Entrepreneurship and Vocational Education- Quality Education, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and Partnership to Achieve Goals

Japkeerat Singh represented Germany in the United Nations Economic and Social Council and received the award of Special Mention (3rd highest award in MUN).

Devanshi Dibya and Rudransh Dwivedi represented France and Germany in the G-20 Youth Summit respectively. Devanshi received the award of High Commendation (2nd Highest award in MUN).

The event was a stellar opportunity for the budding leaders to understand the working of UN and a chance to showcase their knowledge.
