Health and Environment Week Nur-P2
The students of classes Nursery to P2 celebrated Earth Week from April 18,2022 to April 22,2022 observing the theme of the month i.e. Health and Environment.
An array of creative activities were organized with a view to sensitize the children about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet
even more beautiful. They took a pledge to preserve and conserve their planet.
The week commenced with a trip to the field wherein a brief introduction on the environment was given showing the bounties of beautiful nature.
Students of Nursery and KG took great interest in talking about health and hygiene while speaking confidently on the topic 'Life is happy when you are healthy'.
P1-P2 students expressed their views on Personal Hygiene using creative props. With great vigour and excitement, modernites planted trees giving different names to their trees along with reciting rhymes.
Creative thinking skills were enhanced as they made newspaper bags and other daily use products using best out of waste. A special assembly elaborating upon the significance of maintaining good health, hygiene and clean and healthy environment made them aware of these values.
The event worked as a key to teach concepts related to health and environment to young children which helped them realize that even at a young age they can be a part of keeping themselves healthy and help their Earth to be a healthier planet.
