The Modern School ECNCR-Delhi celebrated the 75th Independence Day of India, virtually on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Mr. Ashok Pratap Singh, Senior Member, Board of Trustees, Modern School graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the event . Other distinguished guests, Ms. Ambika Pant, Honorary Secretary, Board of Trustees, Modern School, Trustees of The Modern School and Honourable Heads of various Modern Schools, were also virtually present to be a part of the celebrations.

The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of Tirana, symbolic of India's Independence. The Principal, Ms. Abha Sadana welcomed the august gathering of guests and parents, thanking them for their gracious presence on the occasion.

The talented modernites exhibited the true meaning of Independence and freedom for the nation, with a spectacular show 'Naya Savera'. It outlined the journey taken by Gandhiji to free India, his vision for an Independent country and its future through national education. The students through their remarkable presentation urged everyone to strive to hold on to the roots and surge ahead on the path of progress, escorting the country into a new realm of aware, progressive and positive 'India'.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Ashok Pratap Singh urged the students to celebrate the victory of the real heroes of Contemporary India too, on the momentous day.

The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Headmistress, Ms. Rimpy Verma.
