The Modern School, ECNCR, hosted an invigorating Inter-House English Debate Competition on the topic- ‘OTT Platform Promotes Freedom of Expression’ for the students from S1 to S3 on August 28,2024. The event showcased the oratory prowess of young debaters, who engaged in a spirited exchange of ideas on a thought-provoking topic. The atmosphere was charged with intellectual energy as participants eloquently articulated their arguments, displaying commendable poise and critical thinking.

Principal Mr. Rajiv K. Shrivastava graced the occasion, delivering an inspiring address that motivated the students to embrace the art of debate as a means of developing confidence and honing their persuasive abilities. His words left an indelible mark, encouraging participants to strive for excellence in every endeavour.

After a rigorous evaluation, the titles of Best Speaker in Favour was given to Yashmit Chawla of Himalaya House(S2 B), Best Speaker Against the Motion was awarded to Saanvi Oberoi of Vindhyanchal House(S2 A) and the Best Interjector was Vismay Anup of Himalaya House(S2 A). All the winners were awarded, recognizing the students' exceptional debating skills and their ability to think on their feet.
