Literary competitions provide the necessary impetus and platform to develop confidence among children and enhance their speaking skills for their all-round development. An Inter-house English Picture Description Competition was organised on May 17, 2023, for the students of classes P3–P5.
The participants expressed themselves with utmost zeal and vigour, while describing the picture. They were encouraged to use descriptive words and phrases to express what they saw on the screen. To successfully communicate and be well understood, the participants were encouraged to use a variety of sentences and phrases. It enabled them to think critically and creatively as they tried to describe the picture in their own words.
The judges enlightened the students with their insights and applauded for their commendable efforts.
