A true modernite believes in setting examples and achieving new milestones of excellence. The Junior Wing Student Council was invested with responsibilities on July 24, 2021, with full zeal and zest on a virtual platform. The Investiture Ceremony is one of the momentous occasions when the school entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibilities to the newly appointed school cabinet.

Selection of the members of the council was a herculean task as the students competed for the coveted positions, undergoing a rigorous and democratic process during the Leadership Camp organized for the students of class P5 on July 10, 2021. The students were selected on the basis of their Scholastic and Co-Scholastic performances in the past two years. They were also assessed in various rounds like Introduction and Extempore, Rapid Fire and Situation based Strategy Round. The final and binding round was the Interview Round conducted on July 14, 2021. The students were judged on the basis of their leadership qualities, communication skills, confidence level, fluency, promptness, problem solving approach etc. In each round, their individuality, presence of mind, intellect, reasoning and logical skills, eloquence and confidence made them shine like blazing stars.

The Investiture Ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana. The Headmistress, Ms. Rimpy Verma welcomed the august gathering and congratulated the student council members and their parents for their tireless efforts as well as urged them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. The Principal, Ms. Abha Sadana motivated the students to keep on striving to achieve their goal in life. The Guest of Honour, Ms. Priyanka Kharbanda, Headmistress, Modern Early Years, Deepali encouraged the students by spreading her pearls of wisdom.

The proud parents and grandparents on behalf of the school authorities felicitated the students with badges and sash sent to them through post the previous day, in the presence of all dignitaries.

The student council took the pledge to hold the school motto of loyalty, truth and honour in high esteem. The Guest of Honour, Ms. Swaraj Mehta expressed her love for the upcoming leaders and congratulated them for their new roles. She guided all the elected members to be role models and render their responsibilities sincerely. The function culminated with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the Primary Wing Co-ordinator, Ms. Neerja Bajaj.
