Janmashtami Assembly
Krishna Janmashtami marks the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, who is believed to be the eighth incarnation of god. The students of Himalaya House from classes 3-5 conducted an assembly on Janmashtami on September 4, in the junior assembly hall. The assembly commenced with the morning prayer which was followed by news, thought and talk. The festival was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm through various dance performances and recitation of shlokas from Bhagwat Gita. To add to the spirit of the festival, melodious tunes of various Krishna bhajans were played by our young modernites at the casino which not only echoed in the assembly hall but brought positivity too. Beautiful poems were also recited in the praise of Lord Krishna. Last but not the least, an informative PPT was explained to enhance the knowledge of the students about the festival. The assembly created awareness about the Indian tradition, custom and culture. It also gave a strong message of ' Victory of good over evil.
