Janmashtami Celebrations
The students of Nur-P2 celebrated the birthday of Lord Krishna with great devotion and enthusiasm on August 18,2022. Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh or the 8th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon. This day indicated the beginning of hope in the older times; hope, that the malicious rule of Kansa would soon end.
All the parents were cordially invited to join the event. The students performed on Krishna life depicting different learnings given by him on the stage and added dazzle to this celebration. While this religious importance is not lost, this day signifies a lot more to modern India; it signifies excitement, euphoria and a joyous spirit of enthralment. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, The young modernites took the opportunity to both jubilate in and honour this festival. The students dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The school was decorated beautifully and the spirit of festivity was enhanced with jhankis depicting life of Lord Krishna. The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educational. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm and radiance. This celebration brought devotion, recreation, entertainment and fun all together. The parents had a great time not only enjoying the performances but also participating in the event.
