Jhankaar 2019

The Cultural Society and Interact Club of The Modern School, ECNCRorganized Jhankaar- 2019on April 27, 2019, in the school premises.

The aim of the event was to promote our cultural heritage and sensitize the youth of our country to our rich legacy.About150 students from fifteen schools participated in the Vocal Music, Instrumental Music and Classical Dance competitions.

The event began with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by ‘SaraswatiVandana’by the choir of the school. The Principal, Ms. Abha Sadana welcomed the distinguished guests.

The judges for the event wereMrs. Nandini Singh, a renowned exponent of Jaipur Gharana (Kathak), Dr. Prasanth G. Pai, Carnatic Music Professional and Shri K. L. Sharma, the chief of the musical Gharana, Bhadrakali and a renowned musician.

The participants from different schools captivated the audience with their talent as classical singers and dancers. It was mesmerizing to see the budding artists performing confidently and flawlessly paying homage to their heritage.

DevAditya(Rishikul World Academy), Sukhdeep Sharma (Max Fort School), and Madhurya (The Modern School, ECNCR)won the first, second and third positions respectively instrumental Music Competition (Group A-classes III-V).

BhavyaPratap (MNSS, Rai), NabhBansal(The Modern School, ECNCR), and Navita(Rishikul World Academy)won the first, second and third positions respectively in Instrumental Music Competition (Group B-classes VI-X).

YashasviPradhan (MNSS, Rai), PrajwalSrivastava (The Modern School, ECNCR), and Kamal (MNSS, Rai) won the first, second and third positions respectively in Instrumental Music Competition (Group C-classes XI-XI).

DevAditya (Rishikul World Academy), Ashpriya (The Modern School BPTP), and Baibhai Roy (The Modern School BPTP) won the first, second and third positions respectively in Classical Vocal Music Competition (Group A-classes III-V).

RijakKaur(Presidium, Ashok Vihar), Veer(DAVM Public School) and Navita(Rishikul World Academy) won the first, second and third positions respectively in Classical Vocal Music Competition (Group B-classes VI-VIII).

Vridhi (DAVM Public school), Charvi (Holy Child Sr. Sec. School), and PulkitVerma(The Modern School, ECNCR) won the first, second and third positions respectively in Classical Vocal Music Competition (Group C-classes X-XII).

Aradhya (Holy Child Sr. Sec School), Ahana (De Indian School), and Terni Gera (The Modern School, BPTP) won the first, second and third positions respectively in Light Vocal Music Competition (Group A-classes III-V).

RijakKaur(Presidium, Ashok Vihar), Aasra(Rishikul World Academy) and Palabha ((Rishikul World Academy) won the first, second and third positions respectively in Light Vocal Music Competition (Group B-classes VI-VIII).

Charvi (Holy Child Sr. Sec School), Abhishayant(JankidasKapur Public School) and PulkitVerma (The Modern School, ECNCR) won the first, second and third positions respectively in Light Vocal Music Competition (Group C-classes X-XII).

Laisha,Jasmira(The Modern School, ECNCR) and JahnviKashyap(The Modern School BPTP) bagged the first, second and third positions respectively in Classical Dance Competition in Group A(classes III-V).

Anika ,Samairah(Modern School, Barakhamba Road) and Aaira(The Modern School, ECNCR)stood first, second and third respectively in Classical Dance Competition in Group B(classes VI-VIII).

Mansa Gautam (The Modern School, ECNCR) , Nainika (Modern School, Barakhamba RoadDelhi) and Ananya ( Holy Child Sr. Sec. School) stood first, second and third respectively in Classical Dance Competition in Group C(classes X-XII).

Aishwarya(Dr.M.K.KArya Model School), Tanish Chandra(The Modern School BPTP ), AayushTyagi (The Modern School, ECNCR) , StabyaSardana (The Modern School, ECNCR) , Vardan(Dr. M.K.K Arya Model School) , Abhishayant(JankidasKapur Public School), Yuvraj, Jasmine (The Modern School , ECNCR), Aber Chopra(The Modern School Barakhamba Road ) , Farica(Holy Child Sr. Sec. School), Geetanjali(DAVM Public School) and Chirag(De Indian Public School)were awarded the Jury Award.

The judge, Mrs. Nandini Singh while speaking on the occasionappreciated all the participants and applauded the efforts of the school for promoting Indian art and culture.

The event culminated with Vote of thanks by the Headmistress, Ms. RimpyVerma followed by riveting dance performances.
