Life Skill Workshop
A Life Skill workshop was organised for the students of classes P3-S3 on February 14 and February 15, 2023 by the school counsellor, Ms. Anita on the topic ‘Mindfulness’.
The workshop aimed to focus upon and teach students the importance of acceptance, to pay attention to their thoughts and feelings without judging . The students were made aware about self-love, accepting things as they are and learn from them. Stability of thoughts is essential if one needs to be a mindful person. Meditation practice can help one to be more focused in the thoughts to feel one’s presence in the world. When we practise mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future. Practising mindfulness helps obtain self-control, self-mastery and self-discipline.
This workshop helped the students to learn to relax , distress and reduce anxiety. By practising mindfulness , one can learn to focus, regulate their emotions, manage stress and create a positive outlook.
