The students of classes S-4 and S-6 of The Modern School, ECNCR, Delhi participated in the Pro-Social Peer Moderator Programme on ‘Caring for the Environment’ held at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh on April 25, 2019. The event was facilitated by Dr. Sameer Parikh, Director of the School of Mental Health at Fortis Hospital and Ms. Divya Jain, Clinical Psychologist.

The aim of the workshop was to inculcate awareness among the young generation about the degradation of mother earth and expand the emotional connection between individuals and the natural world applying lessons from life skills education to make sustainable life choices.

The students learned about saving the environment by taking part in fun games like ‘bhul jao plastics’, ‘best out of waste’ and ‘footprints’. The students had great experiential learning about the implementation of pro social behavior in the present environmental condition.

It was a fulfilling experience for the students as it gave them a platform to experience the pro- social behaviour in natural setting and they gained outstanding knowledge from eminent supervisors as well. The workshop worked as a catalyst in enhancing their perspective and thought process towards environment.
