In an  incessant effort to promote Indian culture and heritage, The Modern School, ECNCR organised a cultural extravaganza  in collaboration with SPIC MACAY to celebrate the occasion of World Dance day  on April 28, 2023. 
The leading exponent of Mohiniattam, former Dean and Head of the Department Of Music, University of Delhi, Dr. Deepti Omchery Bhalla graced the occasion along with Ms. Revati Nair  a wonderful and talented singer, Sh. Shateesh Poduval , a powerful musical instrument Idakka player and Sh. Vetri Bhoopathy, a famous Mridangam player.

The programme commenced with felicitation of all the distinguished guests of the day by the honourable Principal, Mr. Rajiv Srivastav and respected Headmistress, Ms. Rimpy Verma along with the school Cultural Coordinator,  Ms. Ritu.
This was followed by an enchanting session wherein  the danseuse showcased the graceful Mohiniattam dance as well as enlightened the students about the aesthetic beauty of Indian Culture and Philosophy, along with the importance of classical performing arts. The artist regaled and mesmerised the audience with her amazing footwork and mudras. She also explained how imperative it is to be attached to our roots and take pride in our rich and vibrant culture. As the performance came to an end, the school hall rounded with applause showing that she had won over many hearts.It was indeed a truly enriching experience for all.
