The Modern School, ECNCR Delhi, conducted a special assembly on Nelson Mandela International Day on July 18, 2024. This day is celebrated to make a difference in our communities.

According to Nelson Mandela, everyone has the ability and the responsibility to change the world for the better.

Mandela Day is an occasion for all of us to take action and inspire change.

On this day, Himachal House students of the school initiated the assembly with a prayer. It was then followed by news reading by Chaitanya Sukhani P4A. As this day empowers and acknowledges the responsibility to bring change around the world, Atharv Vats of S5A shared his talk by saying that Mandela Day is a truly global event, transcending borders and cultures. It’s more than a commemoration. It’s an international call to action, urging individuals and communities worldwide to dedicate 67 minutes to serving others. Wonderful thought was delivered by Qoya Goswami of P3B. Towards the end of the assembly, Lavit of S3 showcased his musical talent with a beautiful instrumental performance that mesmerized everyone.

This assembly gave all of the students an immense pleasure and motivation to celebrate this day.
