The students of classes Nursery-P2 celebrated 'Patriotic week' from August 9 to 13, 2021 during their online virtual class, with great enthusiasm and elation.

On day 1, a melodious presentation of 'We Shall Overcome' was given by the students and they also danced on a foot tapping patriotic number.

On day 2 and 3, a story telling session was organised for the students to give them a brief about the history of India , its rulers and the invasion of Britishers. Students were also told about the famous freedom fighters and how their struggle and hard work helped Indians to gain freedom. Thereafter, they indulged in a beautiful patriotic craft activity, wherein they made the Indian flag using different pulses.

On Day 4 they learned about the Prime Minister of the country and the flag hoisting ceremony held at the Red fort every year. The symbolic colours of the flag were also explained in brief.

A 'Character Parade' of various freedom fighters was organised on Day 5 .Students presented themselves as the famous freedom fighters of India and spoke a few lines on them. They spoke confidently, emulating the famous quotes.

It was followed by a discussion on the various sportspersons who are performing fantastically in Tokyo Olympics 2021. It greatly inspired the students and made them feel proud of their country. The celebrations instilled in the modernites, the value and reverence for the gift of freedom given to them by the great leaders of the country.
