The Modern School, ECNCR organized an Inter-School Open Air Art Competition  â€˜Hues of 2018’ on January 24, 2018. Around 100 students from different schools participated enthusiastically in the competition.

The students were given a platform to display their vivid ideas and creative skills on various topics like ‘My Toys’ (classes I and II), ‘Sunday Afternoon’ (classes III to V) and ‘Incredible India’ (classes VI to VIII).

The day saw creativity unfurling in every corner, reflected in the beautiful art work of the students.

The Principal, Ms Abha Sadana welcomed the assemblage of artists with her inspiring words. Mr Amit Kapoor, a renowned water colour artist who has been honoured with silver star Award by National Water Colour Society, America graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. He also gave a live demonstration session on water colours  and elucidated the effective use of colours on canvas.

Ridit Nayyar of The Modern School, ECNCR and Chehak of Presidium, Ashok Vihar won the first and second position respectively in Group A (classes I and II).Varini of The Modern School, ECNCR and Romeet Chakarborty of Modern School, Vasant Vihar bagged the first and second position respectively in Group B (classes III and V).Farhan Bakht Ahmed of Modern School, Barakhamba Road and Adanyaa Garg of Modern School, Vasant Vihar won the first and second position respectively in Group C (classes VI and VIII).The revered judges Dr Mamoon Nomani and Mrinal Kulkarni, Associate Professors Jamia Millia Islamia University applauded the efforts of the participants and congratulated the winners.

The Headmistress, Ms Rimpy Verma proposed a vote of thanks to the fine assembly of guests and participants.
