The Modern School ECNCR organised an excursion to National Bal Bhawan for the students of class P2 on February 20, 2019. The students were given a common platform to interact, experiment and create according to their age, aptitude and ability. There were a number of attractions for the students when they visited the Bhawan like the National Children's Museum, the Jawahar Fish Aquarium and various activities to provide hands on experience to the tiny tots in the areas of art and culture. In the Fish Corner, the children learned about the behaviour of the fish, their food habits and the interdependence of different species living under water. The students also learned about rural India.

They witnessed classic models and displays of art, craft and clay modelling .They were mesmerized by the story of ‘Jhasi ki Rani’ narrated during a puppet show. The enthusiasm of the students reached its peak when they visited the Magic Mirrors comprising of big concave and convex mirrors arranged in a special manner to reflect funny, distorted images of anyone entering the room. The toy train and the puppet show provided the perfect end to a perfect day. It was a day filled with fun and frolic
