PARYATAN PARV
To promote the initiatives taken up by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated Paryatan Parv from October 5, 2017 to October 25, 2017. During the celebrations the school conducted various special assemblies to sensitize the students about the cultural richness of India and to motivate them to travel and explore more. The Modern School, ECNCR also conducted activities such as slogan writing competition, quizzes etc. to spread awareness about the advantages of sustainable tourism as well as enhance their knowledge regarding Travel and Tourism industry in India.

The Modern School ECNCR organized a seminar on ‘Paryatan Parv’ an initiative to promote Tourism in India on October 24, 2017. The school invited Mr. Ashvini Kumar to address the students of classes P5 – S5 on the same. Mr. Ashvini Kumar is the Vice President and Head of Contracting and Vendor Management, Le Passage to India, one of the leading multi-national destination management companies in India. He shared his valuable insights about the workings of travel industry. The objective of the session was to acquaint students with the concept of ‘International Year of Sustainable Tourism’ and to inculcate a sense of responsibility towards safeguarding the culture and heritage of the country. Mr. Kumar kept the curious minds engrossed by sharing his incredible experiences in the field of Tourism. He outlined the vitality of preserving and promoting tourism in India in particular and Tourism Industry in general.
To commemorate the spirit of tourism, The Modern School ECNCR organized various assemblies in the school that focused on Travel and Tourism in India. Various folk dances of India were presented to showcase the vividness of ‘Incredible India’. It was mesmerizing to witness the students dressed up in colourful costumes that depicted the unique culture of each state. The diversity of tradition, religion, language and customs were exhibited in the performances and talks delivered during the special assemblies.
The Modern School ECNCR also conducted a slogan writing competition on ‘Sustainable Tourism in India’ for the students of classes P5 to S5 in collaboration with the Interact Club of the school. The students actively participated for the cause and prepared thought provoking slogans for the same. They also took out a pep rally in the premises of the school, showcasing the slogans, to spread awareness about sustainable tourism among students.

The Modern School, ECNCR will continue this endeavour with the support and guidance of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India to promote tourism in India so that the generations to come do not remain void of the richness and magnificence of our Incredible India.
