Raksha Bandhan celebration with our brave soldiers
The Modern School ECNCR celebrated the auspicious festival of Rakhi on August 24, 2018 with the soldiers of Indo Tibetan Border Police Camp, Sonipat. Seven students of class KG along with four student representatives of Interact Club visited the camp to tie rakhis to the valiant soldiers, with great elation and enthusiasm. The self made rakhis were symbolic of their love and gratitude towards the soldiers for safeguarding the country and playing an unparalleled role in providing security to all the citizens of the nation.
Excited to see the soldiers and overwhelmed by the warm welcome extended at the camp, students expressed their gratitude by reciting poems written for them. They tied rakhi to Sh. Mukesh Sharaf, Commandant, Sh. Anand Kumar, Dpty. Commandant, Sh.Satyanarayan, Dpty. Commandant, other officers and all the jawans present on the occasion. Soldiers took it as a matter of pride to celebrate the sacred occasion with the school students and embraced their love warmth and rakhis wholeheartedly.
Touched by the gesture, mannerism and adoration of the students, Commandant Mukesh Sharaf, Commanding Officer, ITBP camp gave them the distinguished opportunity to participate in the Tree Plantation activity organised inside the camp and blessed them with his best wishes on the occasion.
The school believes that value education can be effectively imparted through such enriching experiences. Everyone lives a peaceful life as the nation is well protected at the borders. It is essential for all to respect and salute the brave soldiers and thank them for their sacrifice.
