The Modern School, ECNCR organized ‘Activity Days’ for the students of classes Nursery- S3 from March 11- March 22, 2019. It was conceptualized in a way that students indulged in a variety of modules. The description of the activities is as follows:

1.Dance: â€˜To touch, to move, to inspire- this is the true gift of dance’, During the activity days our modernities had fun learning different dance forms like Zumba, Freestyle, Hip Hop etc. which energized them and kept their spirits high.

2.Sports: To let students run azure on the sports field and play their favorite sport, various games were organized on the field for the students such as Cricket, Basketball, Football and a few traditional sports.

3.Soft Skills & PD: Personality of an individual plays an important role and school is the stepping stone in developing one’s personality. Thus, during activity days students participated in personality development and soft skills sessions. Various social skills like teamwork and collaboration, decision-making, problem-solving and critical thinking communication, body language, etc. were touched upon during those sessions.

4.Life Skills: Workshops on mindfulness, concentration, time management, etc were conducted for the students, where they learned about positivity and techniques to improve concentration and manage time.

5.Excursions: School excursions are an important and effective means of motivating students and engaging them in active learning experiences. The school organized excursions to National Museum –Janpath Road, National Agriculture Museum, Pusa Road, Rail Museum, etc.

6.Adventure Camp: An adventure camp was organized for the students in the school campus which were a combination of fun-filled games and activities like Zip Lining, Zorbing, Rock Climbing, Burma Bridge, etc. which made their experience richer and joyful.

7.Art and Craft The tiny tots of Nursery-P2 also made colorful water guns using best out of waste. They also indulged in making butterfly Shaped eye masks, paper snowman, cards, newspaper impression paintings, dog house, etc. The craft activities were immensely intriguing and enjoyable.

8.Flameless Cooking The icing on the cake was flameless cooking, in which the students enjoyed making sandwiches, salads, etc. During the activity, they were also taught basic table manners.

9.Movie Time: The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work. The school planned a group activity for the children where they had the opportunity to sit and enjoy movie time with their friends.

The camp concluded with unforgettable memories and enriching experiences. Activity days was really fun for the students as they were engrossed in hand-on-activities that were thrilling, invigorating, stimulating and productive.
