The students of The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated 72nd Republic Day of India on January 22, 2021 with great pride and elation.

Virtual assemblies were held in all the wings signifying the importance of the auspicious day. The students presented a melodious rendition of patriotic songs. The dance performances left everyone spellbound. A special PowerPoint Presentation was shown to enlighten the students about the Constitution of India and how it came into effect. The students were delighted to learn about their fundamental rights and at the same time understood the need to abide by their fundamental duties. On the other hand our tiny-tots learned about Amar Jawan Jyoti, Rashtrapati Bhavan, March Past and Tableaux of different states. The students were told about the armed forces that march magnificently on Rajpath as well as the spectacular air show presented by the Air Force.

The students of classes Nursery to P2, dressed up as freedom fighters, spoke about their contributions in the freedom struggle. A short skit explaining the importance and meaning of the momentous day was also presented eloquently and confidently by the young modernites.

A ballet ‘Jayatu Bharatam’ by senior students mesmerized everyone as it urged everyone to pledge to uphold the honour and integrity of the diverse and incredible country; to ensure that everyone understood and kept the sanctity of being republic.

Multifarious activities were also held in all the classes to mark the momentous day.

Students participated in Patriotic Song competition and Poster Making activity. They also created beautiful republic day crafts with the tri-colours of the national flag.

The magnificent colours of the national flag, the euphonious melody of the patriotic songs; the passionate pledge to always be good citizens, working together for progress ; the rhythmic and graceful dance moves celebrating Indian culture reverberated through the heart and soul of every modernite.
