Rorschach Workshop : Fortis Mental Health
The Psychology students of class S7 participated in a workshop on Rorschach Inkblot Test organised by Fortis Team, Shalimar Bagh from July 26 to July 28, 2021. This workshop educated the learners about the Rorschach test named after its creator, Swiss psychologist, Hermann Rorsachach. They learned that the subjects' perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analysed using psychological interpretation, complex algorithms or both. The speaker, Ms. Kriti Munjal further explained that some psychologists use this test to examine a person's personality characteristics and emotional functioning. The Rorschach test is appropriate for subjects from the age of five to adulthood. The general goal of the test is to provide data about cognition and personality variables such as, motivations response tendencies, cognitive operations, affectivity, and personal/interpersonal perceptions.
The speaker also discussed about the complexity of interpreting the test as it requires a wealth of knowledge concerning personality dynamics generally as well as considerable experience with the Rorschach method specifically. The students were also made familiar with the protocols that need to followed and about the utility of the test.
Overall it was a great initiative by the Fortis team as our students enhanced increased their knowledge in the field of psychology through this workshop
