The Modern School ECNCR organized a special session of Model United Nations on December 18, 2017. The objective of the session was to provide an opportunity to understand the significance and experience the functioning of United Nations. The judge for the event was Ms. Mursall Mehboobi Kakar, CEO to Afghanistan Education Council in Delhi. The topic of discussion in the General Assembly of Model United Nations was ‘Nuclear Security’. Student delegates from eleven different nations including permanent member nations and non permanent member nations participated in the assembly discussion and put forward their point of view and policy on the crucial issue of nuclear safety. Thereafter, a questionnaire round ensued that led to intriguing revelations made by the delegates of different countries on the burning issue.

Post the discussion in the session the Judge of the event Ms. Kakkar addressed the gathering and congratulated the student delegates for their efforts and reiterated the significance of such assemblies and sessions in today’s world.
