‘Childhood is the most beautiful of all life’s seasons’

The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated November 14, 2017, Children’s Day, which marks the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru with enthusiasm and zeal, keeping in mind his words, “I may not have time for adults, but I have enough time for children.”

The teachers of classes P1 and P2 dressed up as little kids, took charge of the assembly to make the day unforgettable for the students. The celebrations began with the teachers reciting the school prayer. The hilarious news headlines of the school spoken by a teacher made the students laugh and giggle. The highlight of the assembly was the scintillating dance performance by the teachers. The teachers showcased their talent by dancing on the peppy songs which also made the students to groove in. The students were in awe to see their mother-like-teachers in the Avataar of  kids.

The school Principal, Ms. Abha Sadana addressed the students and appreciated Aashmeen Khurana of P2 D who brought laurels to the school by securing second position in 500 meter race and third position in 1000 meter race in National Skating Championship. Ram Aggarwal of P1 A was also acknowledged for his wonderful efforts and participation in National Skating Championship. She motivated the kids to participate in all the activities. The school Headmistress, Ms. Rimpy Verma, wished all the students Happy Children’s Day. She blessed them and encouraged them to work diligently and enjoy their childhood a transient phase to optimum.

The culmination of the assembly was the icing on the cake for the students, as their favourite songs were played and they shook a leg along with their facilitators. It was a fun filled day for the blue Modernites, which would always be cherished as a fond memory.
