The Basketball team of The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated Christmas with great fervour and joy on December 24,2019. The school wore a festive look, aesthetically decorated with red, white and green colours.

A special assembly was conducted to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. It commenced with a prayer to the Almighty. The hall reverberated with the sound of Christmas carols like ‘Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer' , ‘Santa Claus is coming to Town’and ‘Go Tell it on the Mountains’ sung melodiously by the students of classes Nursery, KG and P3.The rendition of ‘Jingle Bells’ in German by the students of class S1 left the audience spellbound .

The students of class P5 narrated the story of birth of Jesus Christ and explicated the essence of the festival that is sharing and caring as well as spreading joy and elation. The ‘Santa Claus’ dressed in all his finery along with his reindeers, distributed sweets to all. The Principal, Ms. Abha Sadana and the Headmistress, Ms. Rimpy Verma wished the students and urged them to soak in the spirit of Christmas and spread the message of love and kindness.
