‘Diyas are God’s way of telling us that there will always be light to drive away darkness.’ The greatest significance of Diwali is to light up new, bright and colourful dreams, fresh hopes and undiscovered paths. To celebrate the festival, students of Himachal House conducted a special online assembly on November 11, 2020.

The assembly began with a prayer soulfully sung by Swarna of S4B.The ‘News’ and ‘Thought of the day’ was presented by Harman Singh of class S2 A and Pratishtha of class S3 A respectively. The talk presented by Yajat of class S5 enlightened everyone with the significance of celebrating the festival and how it is celebrated throughout the country in different ways.

The special assembly comprised of the mesmerizing dances performances of the students that heralded the Festival of Lights . It was followed by the dramatic representation of Ramayana, the story of Lord Rama and his return to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. Mrityunjay of class S1 A gave a brief narration of the different beliefs and stories associated with Diwali. The captivating dance performance of Mansa (S6A), Raadhika (S3A) and Pranay (S3B) made the atmosphere of celebrations profound. The assembly culminated with a pledge to celebrate a clean, green and safe Diwali. The students enjoyed the show with fervour, unbounding enthusiasm and loud applause.
